So after using my iPad 3 for a little over three weeks I’ve decided to make a review for my iPad Leather Case. When I purchased this case I was just trying to prepare myself for the release of the New iPad and  just wanted to have a case to protect my iPad. I was actually surprised that I could find something that I would actually be satisfied with for such a low price. I was so used to spending atleast $40 on my iPhone 4 cases and when I saw this Fintie case for $12, I knew I couldn’t go wrong. This case compares to the more expensive cases like the Targus Versavu and the Incase Convertible Jacket Case but it definitely doesn’t compare in price.

A few days ago I saw a post on www.oliviatech.com where Olivia demonstrated the use of a new DIY crane that they put together. Although she shared the dimensions of the crane, she didn’t have a “detailed” demonstration on how to put the jib together. I decided to visit my local hardware store and purchase all the parts necessary to put this jib together and have made a video tutorial on the build. All the necessary parts and steps are included in the video.

*I will have some footage up shortly to show off my DIY Crane in use.

I want to compare the speeds between my new Verizon Mobile  4G Hotspot and my iPhone 4′s AT&T 3G connection. I received my New iPad a little over a week ago and I wanted to be able to have internet access no matter where I was so I bought a Mifi on Amazon. I know I had the option to purchase the 4G LTE version iPad but I wanted to be able to use my 4G connection with multiple devices so going with a Mobile hotspot was the best decision. In the video attached I show you the differences between connections including my Verizon Fios home connection.

This are some of the results I’ve gotten using the Speed Test App on my iPhone 4 and iPad 3rd Gen

You can see the crazy differences for yourself. Numbers never lie.

I recently purchased an Ape Case Pro Luggage Camera Case from DeeJay over at dslrfilmnoob.com and my first impression of the case and it’s size was that it was very spacious. I was in the market for something bigger than my Lowpro Flipside 300 and luckily for me he had a few up for sale. When I received the Ape Case I immediately stuffed it with a bunch of gear and to my surprise I could fit a huge amount of gear. Although I wasn’t able to put a tripod in there or any of my rigs I was still surprised to see a chunk of my gear fit inside. If you’re in the market for a big camera bag then this is definitely something you might want to look into. I’ve attached a video showing you what I was able to fit inside comfortably without over stuffing and potentially damaging the camera bag.

I usually only post entries on Mondays and Thursdays but I couldn’t wait until Monday to post this. I got my hands on a New White iPad 32GB and I brought the camera out as soon as UPS dropped it off. So far I haven’t been able to get my hands off of this beautiful iDevice. I can’t really compare this iPad to the 1st or 2nd generation iPads because this is my first iPad. I remember when the first iPad was released, I was tempted to splurge and buy one but I didn’t think it was a necessity. Then the second iPad was announced and I really wanted to buy one but I still held out and saved my money instead. Finally I heard rumors of a new iPad 3 being released and I caved. I held on to a chunk of money and waited to hear some solid news and on March 7th I spent almost 5 hours on my computer waiting for the Apple Store to come back up. I put my order through as soon as the store came back up and I impatiently waited for UPS. If you’re a tech geek like myself then you know the feeling of having to wait for a package to come via UPS, FEDeX, or any shipping carrier.

Attached is a Video Unboxing of the New iPad 3rd Generation.

SpeakEvents- Found in Cydia in the BiggBoss repo for $1.99.

I found this tweak very useful so I thought a review would come in handy for some of you. This tweak reads notifications out loud in 36 different languages. It auto-detects languages and reads notifications out loud in their proper accent. There are a bunch of different setting options that you have the option to toggle on or off.

Bellow you can see the list of toggles including Headphones only, Only when locked, et cetera et cetera.

Then you have other options like what apps you want SpeakEvents to inform you about, out loud.

Then you can tell the app what you want it to include in it’s announcement.

And in this screen you can choose what language SpeakEvents will be set to. Also Speech Volume and speed in addition to other options.

I’ve attached a video with a full review on this app. Feel free to share this blog post :)

So a few days ago I stumbled upon a video where a guy demonstrates how he “hacked” his Manfroto Fluid head and was able to attach accessories directly to the fluid head using one of the two sides where you mount the panning bars. After watching the video it got my thinking and I soon realized that I could do the same exact thing with my Fancier 717 fluid head.

Using a 1″ 1/4 screw I was able to mount an articulating arm to my 717AH Fluid head.

I’ve attached a video tutorial to show you exactly how to do this.
