My name is Chris Flores and I am a 25 year old Photographer/ Videographer. Ever since I was a young boy growing up in Newark, New Jersey, I have been aware of the magic of photography. I remember when I was 13 years old my mom bought me my first 35 mm slr. I went crazy with that camera and wanted to take pictures of anything and everything. At that age I wasn’t really making any money so it was hard for me to buy 35 mm rolls of film but when I did get a new roll, I went crazy taking pictures. I remember falling in love with taking pictures but unfortunately my 35 mm slr broke and I couldn’t afford to get it fixed. When I started making my own money, I bought myself a point-and-shoot camera, Canon Powershot 3.2mpx then from there upgraded to a Sony Cybershot 8.1mpx. Even with the upgrade of the 8 megapixel camera, which back then was outstanding, I didn’t get the satisfaction that I was looking for. I realized that I needed to go back down the road of the slr camera where I had full control of any shot. I went out and bought myself a Canon Rebel XS. A lot of people don’t like this camera because it is a beginners camera but at the time of purchase, I was a beginner when it came to the D-Slrs. Since the day I bought the rebel, I have not wanted to stop taking pictures. As you can see by my work, I’m doing a pretty good job and I think I’m getting better with every shot I take. I hope to only increase my skill and be able to teach those who also have the love for photography. I am currently shooting with a Canon T1i and saving up for a Canon 7D.
I will be using this blog to share my knowledge of Photography and Videography and hopefully help others build their own skill. I am a big DIY’er so I will be posting any DIY’s that I build myself or any builds that I may find interesting that are done by others.
